What’s Happening: It is estimated that for the 2019-2020 academic year, there will be a total of 3,898,000 college graduates in the United States, an increase of nearly six million students from the 2015-2016 academic year.

Why it matters: A majority of these graduating students will be starting their professional lives with some level of debt from their student loans. According to Ticas, 66% of graduates from public colleges have student loans, 75% of graduates from private nonprofit colleges have student loans, and 88% of graduates from for-profit colleges have student loans.

That being said, these students will now need to start looking for jobs that can not only help them start to repay their student debt, but also make them happy, and provide a good launchpad for their careers. Together with Forbes, Statista has identified America’s Best Employers For New Grads in 2019 by surveying over 10,000 U.S. young professionals with less than ten years professional experience, working for companies with at least 1,000 employees in the United States.

Coming out on top this year is retailer Trader Joe’s, followed by LinkedIn and Adobe Systems. You can look through the full list on Forbes, here.
