Gallup – “For the first time in Gallup’s 18-year history asking U.S. adults how proud they are to be Americans, fewer than a majority say they are “extremely proud.” Currently, 47% describe themselves this way, down from 51% in 2017 and well below the peak of 70% in 2003.”
It goes without saying this stat isn’t exactly the most uplifting piece of information to kick off a Monday. With that said, however, this past week was one of, if not the most, active and engaging five to seven days we’ve seen in our company’s short history. We were tagged in too many pictures to count and received an overwhelming amount of messages and e-mails from all over the country about what the 4th of July holiday meant to our readers. Patriotism and pride in our country certainly isn’t dead. Thank you all for that reminder this past week. Below is a small sample of tags we received.
